Job Description – Senior Associate (FDD – IT/TMT Sector)

Location: Mumbai / Bangalore / Gurgaon
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (Qualified, preferably 1st attempt)
Experience: 3–5 years in Transaction Services / Financial Due Diligence (FDD) with IT/TMT sector exposure.

BNC has been mandated to recruit a a highly driven Senior Associate to join our Financial Due Diligence (FDD) team, specializing in the IT/TMT sector for one of our Big4 Client for a multi locations( Mumbai, Gurgaon, Bangalore).* The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in front-end Transaction Services / FDD*, with a track record of handling multiple transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of multi-disciplinary teams on complex and high-profile transactions including acquisitions, mergers, IPOs, and buy-outs.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis, identify key issues, and derive meaningful conclusions.
  • Lead smaller assignments independently and contribute to larger projects under the guidance of managers/partners.
  • Assess data accuracy and reasonableness, liaising directly with clients and third parties to resolve anomalies.
  • Prepare and review sections of Transaction & Restructuring reports.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members, contributing to their professional growth.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, representing the firm in all interactions.
  • Support business development initiatives and proposal preparation.
  • Draft first-level engagement letters with an understanding of technical and risk management aspects.
  • Contribute positively to team culture, morale, and collaboration.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (preferably 1st attempt).
  • Experience: 3–5 years in Transaction Services / FDD, ideally with strong IT/TMT sector exposure.
  • Expertise: Prior experience in front-end roles (not backend/global delivery).
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to draft high-quality reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel within India and internationally, when required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
