Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advocate proficient in tender contracts for
government software projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and
expertise in navigating the intricacies of software contracts within government tender
processes. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the successful negotiation and
execution of contracts while upholding legal compliance and best practices.
Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with internal teams to review, draft, and negotiate software contracts for
government projects, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and legal
requirements.
● Analyse tender documents and requirements to develop comprehensive contract
proposals that meet the needs of both the government entity and our company.
● Provide strategic guidance and advice on contractual matters, including risk
assessment, compliance, and dispute resolution.
● Liaise with government agencies, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate
smooth contract negotiations and resolution of issues.
● Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting
government software contracts, and incorporate this knowledge into contract
strategies and negotiations.
● Maintain accurate records and documentation related to contract activities, ensuring
compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree
preferred.
● Minimum of 4+years of experience in contract law, with a focus on government
software contracts and tender processes.
● Proven track record of successfully negotiating and executing complex contracts,
preferably in the technology sector.
● In-depth understanding of government procurement processes, including tendering,
bidding, and contract management.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks, identify opportunities, and
formulate effective contract strategies.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships
and influence stakeholders at all levels.
● Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
● Professional certifications in contract management or related fields are a plus.
