Rebel Foods (Parent Company of Faasos), commonly known for its larger brands - Faasos & Behrouz Biryani, is at the cusp of revolutionizing the business of building and running virtual restaurant brands, globally. In last two years, we have opened 1000 + internet restaurants in India across 7 brands in 15 cities - thus creating a completely disruptive model of building restaurants on the cloud. At 50 MN USD+ revenue and 110% YoY growth, we are world's largest and fastest growing Internet Restaurant / Cloud Kitchen company, by a very wide margin.

The secret behind this growth is our model of one kitchen = multiple brands. In two years, we have built India's only national Biryani brand - Behrouz, on top of Faasos, our first brand. Subsequently we have launched national brands across Pizza, World Cuisine, Desserts, Beverages and Chinese - and these brands are now scaling super-fast. This gives us the ability to play across all customer food missions / occasions through same infrastructure base.

Because of our asset lite model and no incremental investments for subsequent brands, our economics engine is producing tremendous results from payback, to capital efficiency to kitchen profitability. Also we have taken out the biggest risk from opening restaurants - location dependence. 100% on delivery, we have no location risk. While 65% of restaurants shut down in year 1, globally, we have never had to shut down any of our locations. This way, we have completely changed the way restaurant businesses are built and are spearheading the revolution globally for building RESTAURANTS ON INTERNET.

Job Description :

Function : Data Science and Analysis - Data Science / Machine Learning

We are looking for someone to lead a team of talented Data Scientists in solving the toughest problems in food tech today. The role would require someone who has led similar teams and created and deployed high-quality data, ML, and AI solutions at scale.


This role will involve hands-on work and daily working sessions with the data scientists to create, improve, and debug ML models across multiple business domains. The person should be able to visualize the high-level picture and give direction, while also not being afraid to get their hands dirty and remove roadblocks for team members.

Responsibilities :

- Provide strategic direction and oversee the execution of machine learning initiatives to address specific business needs.

- Lead and manage a team of Machine Learning engineers in designing, developing, and implementing machine learning models.

- Collaborate with PMs and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and strategize innovative solutions

- Ensure the development and maintenance of robust, scalable, and reusable code, with proper version control.

- Operate in a hands-on capacity when necessary.

Requirements :

- Demonstrated track record in designing, building, and deploying ML models with a focus on accuracy and scalability.

-Strong hands-on experience in ML algorithms libraries like Pytorch, Tensorflow/Keras, and Scikit-Learn.

-Solid understanding of AI/ML techniques related to Regression, Classification, Gradient Boosting, NLP, and Computer Vision.

- Good knowledge of using Optimization with OR Tools.

- Strong hands-on skills in Data Analytics, Feature Engineering, and EDA/Visualization using libraries like Pandas, Matplotlib, Plotly, etc.

- Understanding of Dockerization, and REST APIs.

Good-to-have :

- Strong stakeholder management skills.

- Experience in building Time-Series Forecasting Models and Market Mix Models.

- Interest in improving ML fluency in the larger organization and setting best practices.
