Megamind mission is to provide deep understanding of users and merchants to power engaging, delightful experiences in Geo such as good contributors should have a high success rate and a delightful, transparent experience when providing useful data, user-generated data should be high-quality, relevant, and free of abuse, downstream clients should be able to see the source and confidence level of the information, and content trust should be a scalable, reliable self-serve platform for first-party, second-party, and third-party use cases.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

Responsibilities
  • Define the product goal, roadmap and success metrics for the team such as data analysis and use that to inform product strategy and day-to-day decisions.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership to a virtual team of analysts, operations, legal, policy, Public Relations (PR), privacy, User Generated Content (UGC) experiences, infrastructure, developers etc and several more across other product area (core, trust and safety).
  • Be resourceful in rallying various troops behind a common goal building strong relationships across the board. Be articulate and confident in communication.
  • Work with Machine Learning and Platform teams.
  • Take complete ownership and autonomy in solving a real-world problem for Google products.
