The core function of BIM Manager is to improve the (production) workflow by implementing the latest and relevant technologies and software developments and to maintain the BIM library and templates with accurate standards to meet production requirements

The BIM Manager will coordinate and liaise between project architects, architects and technicians across multiple levels.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVES

1) Mentoring and assist with using BIM and BIM softwareRevit test for job applicantsInduction of new staffAssessment of BIM proficiency for existing staffProvide support to and training of staff in groups or one to oneDevelop and coordinate training strategiesHold regular meetings with BIM COORDINATORS for updates of developments

2) Responsible for development, implementation and enforcement of BIM standards and templatesRevit / CAD library*Office-wide shared parameters (specs etc.) and key notesAutomate BIM routines to support standards and productivityAssess and implement relevant BIM and Revit third party software and plugins

3) Work in collaboration with DSA BIM core team to further enhance and develop the overall BIM strategy and to ensure compliance with project specific requirements

4) Interface with and present information to Management on a regular basis

5) Keep abreast of industry wide initiatives, trends, software updates and best practices6.) Develop, implement and promote new and existing strategies for improving production workflow

6) Liaise with the Revit Manager to ensure documentation is kept up to date, relevant to the following:BIM manualProduction handbookConcise BIM drawing manual

7) Although you have been employed to perform duties as is required of your position, you may be required to perform other duties that may reasonably be expected of you within DSA from time to time.

Project specific tasks and responsibilities:Define BIM / Revit requirements at project kick-off (BIM Execution Plan Pre- and Post-Contract)Work stage involvement if required by project teamsAssist with project setup (topography / True & Project North / title blocks)Assist with project specific modelling and documentationOngoing evaluation of project requirementsAudit & QA/QC of Revit models

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:Previous CAD / BIM Manager experience10+ years production experience in design drafting (all design stages)Strong technical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goalsMust be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education on BIMPossess the ability to work well as part of a team and independentlyPrevious Middle East experience working in an Architectural Consultancy firm is preferred
