Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Developer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in building robust and scalable backend systems using Spring Boot. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features while maintaining code quality and implementing best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable Java-based backend services using Spring Boot.- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.- Collaborate with architects and other developers to design system architecture and components.- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technology stack.- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services and databases.- Ensure APIs are secure, well-documented, and adhere to industry standards.- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes for relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).- Manage data migrations and ensure data integrity.- Implement and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.- Automate deployment processes to various environments (development, staging, production).- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.- Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and bugs promptly.

Qualifications

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java backend development.- Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework.- Proven experience in building and maintaining scalable backend systems.

Technical Skills:

- Java: Strong proficiency in Java 8 or higher.- Spring Framework: In-depth knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and other Spring modules.- Databases: Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate.- APIs: Expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.- CI/CD: Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins).- Version Control: Proficient in using Git and Git workflows.- Deployment: Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable.- Testing Frameworks: Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks.- Agile Methodologies: Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with microservices architecture.- Knowledge of PHP is a plus- Knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Angular) is a plus.- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.- Understanding of security best practices in software development.- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.
