Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and Patrol:Security guards patrol assigned areas, both on foot and using surveillance equipment, to deter criminal activity and ensure a safe environment.
  • Access Control:They monitor and control access points, verifying the identity of individuals entering and exiting premises, and authorizing access according to established protocols.
  • Surveillance:Security guards monitor surveillance cameras, identify suspicious activities, and respond to alarms or other security alerts.
  • Incident Response:They respond to alarms, investigate disturbances, and take appropriate action to address security breaches or emergencies, including apprehending trespassers or reporting incidents to authorities.
  • Reporting:Security guards maintain detailed logs of daily activities, security incidents, and any unusual occurrences, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Customer Service:They provide assistance to people in need, such as directing visitors, providing information, or offering first aid in emergency situations.
  • Enforcement:Security guards enforce company security policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communication:They communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and emergency services as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Observation and Surveillance:Strong ability to observe and monitor surroundings, identify potential threats, and detect unusual activities.
  • Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting incidents, providing instructions, and interacting with the public.
  • Interpersonal Skills:Ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of people, including employees, visitors, and law enforcement.
  • Problem-Solving:Ability to assess situations, make sound judgments, and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
  • Physical Fitness:Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, as well as respond to emergencies that may require physical exertion.
