Data Scientist for our client, a tech startup at Noida


Job Description :

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Science Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. The Data Science Engineer will play a crucial role in leveraging data to drive actionable insights and improve decision-making within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions and machine learning models. This role requires a strong combination of data engineering, machine learning, and software development skills.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Data Acquisition and Integration :

- Gather, clean, and pre-process large datasets from various sources.

- Curate high quality datasets

- Create systems & process to improve data quality in an automated fashion

- Collaborate with data engineers to optimize data storage, retrieval processes and develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure data quality and reliability.

2. Data Analysis and Exploration :

- Perform exploratory data analysis to understand data patterns and identify actionable insights.

- Develop and apply statistical and machine learning models to extract valuable information from data.

- Visualize and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

3. Model Development and Deployment :

- Design, build, and fine-tune predictive and prescriptive machine learning models.

- Implement model deployment pipelines and integrate them into production systems.

- Monitor model performance and conduct ongoing model maintenance and updates.

4. Collaboration and Communication :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and business analysts.

- Clearly communicate technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical team members.

- Contribute to the development of data-driven strategies and business recommendations.

5. Continuous Learning and Innovation :

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning.

- Identify opportunities to innovate and enhance existing processes and solutions.

- Participate in knowledge sharing and mentorship activities within the team.

6. Build LLM Apps :

- Have understanding on finetuning the lower end models

- Have implemented one complete LLM life cycle

- Have worked with/Deployed and used opensource LLM models.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.

- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python.

- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis.

- Experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, Lanchchain, Chainlit..) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

- Knowledge of data warehousing and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and containerisation (e.g., Docker).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
