  • Squad Lead

In iRetail product development, the Squad Leader is a Specialist Java Developer who leads a self-sufficient squad of smart engineers with diverse capabilities like Java technologies, Python, DevOps, ML concepts etc. As a Squad Leader, you will be responsible for people and engineering decisions that will be consequential in building the iRetail features. Your efforts will be reinforced by the presence of a Product Owner to drive product priorities and specifications in the squad. The squad lead clearly understands the feature expectations of the Product Owner and drive the estimations and delivery. The squad will commit and deliver the iterations of product throughout the development life cycle, with focus on value delivered and adherence to proven practices.

Experience and skills.

  • 8-12 years of experience on designing and developing Software Products in Java technologies
  • Strong hand-on individual contributor, expertise in Java based technologies.
  • Experience in leading a tech team of 3-6 developers.
  • Exposure to:
  • API first/ Headless & open interface-based approach
  • Micro services-based platforms.
  • AWS based solutions; CI/CD based on Jenkins.
  • Automation service tests and unit tests
  • Articulation skills for handling complex technology designs and architecture
  • Practiced Agile methodology and estimation skills.

Preferred skills/areas of knowledge

Exposure to NDC and ONE Order systems, merchandising solutions, fare shopping & pricing engines, PSS, CRM, airline revenue management systems, dynamic pricing systems, personalization and recommendation engines, and payment systems.


2. Java Product Engineer

Strong programmers to be part of self-driven squads. As a Sr Engineer, you will be responsible to deliver a feature entrusted to you as part of iRetail product. In the process of building features, you are expected to hone new skills and digital capabilities.

Experience and skills.

  • 3-8 years of experience on designing and developing Java technologies
  • Exposure to Micro services and API design
  • Familiar with MERN, Kotlin/Flutter
  • AWS based solutions.
  • CI/CD based on Jenkins.
  • Automation service tests and unit tests
  • Bias to automate all repeated efforts using scripts and tools.
  • Familiar with Agile methodology
  • Ability to adapt and pick up new skills and technologies.
  • Keen to learn digital capabilities on different platforms including but not limited to NLP, Conversation platforms, personalization, social integration, data analytics etc.
  • Preference for experience in retail/ecommerce/digital platforms.
