Your role

• Design, develop (code), and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees
• Apply a broad range of software engineering techniques, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing, CI/CD and other DevOps practices
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability, andpliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• Act as hands-on development lead to engineers in the crew, be a mentor supporting growth and career progression and ensure high standards are applied across the organization
• Understands the scope of work, collaborating with System Architects, Product Owners, Crew Tech leads etc. to assist with decision-making
• Learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
• Work in an agile way as part of multi-disciplinary teams, participate in agile ceremonies, and collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and others
Your team
You'll be working as an engineering leader in the Digital Client onboarding crew in Pune. We are responsible for WMA (Wealth Management Americas) client facing technology applications. This hands-on technical lead role entails working with teams in US and India. You will play an important role of ensuring scalable development methodology is followed across multiple teams and participate in strategy discussions with business, and technology strategy discussions with architects. Your expertise
• Looking for 13+ years of experience overall in technology
• demonstrable 5+ years of leadership experience in building and leading client facing portals (web and/or mobile)
• strong knowledge of building and managing applications in Java based large enterprise environment.
• strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices for building scalable and maintainable code.
• experience with RESTful API development utilizing micro services architecture.
• experience with building applications hosted on public cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure (preferably Azure).
• expertise with modern cloud native development (Docker, Kubernetes) & event based architecture ( Kafka)
• expertise using database technologies and patterns (relational & others)
• experience with version control systems, such as Git, and collaborative development workflows
• deep leadership expertise who can hire and scale an engineering team
• bachelor's degree in either Science, Information Technology, Mathematics with 12+ years of experience
