Position Title: Senior System Administrator
Location: Pune
Work from Office
Experience Required - 6-8 Years of Hands-on Experience with Windows Active Directory Installations, Configuration and Management
Job Purpose: Company 3/Method Inc is seeking a Senior System Administrator you will oversee and directs the day-to-day L3 activities of an organization’s information technology (IT) department, ensuring that systems, services, and infrastructure work reliably and securely. Be part of the teams that develop and implement networks and servers, respond to user help desk requests, and monitor system stability and performance.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SENIOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR:
• Serves as a technical expert around system administration for complex operating systems. In large companies, this requires understanding a global or multi-office network infrastructure.
•Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls.
•Proactively manage and maintain server, network and firewall systems
• Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco, VXRail, EMC and VMware technologies.
•Manage global Active Directory deployment, configuration, replications and troubleshooting.
•Helps develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network technology policy.
•Is responsible for the installation and configuration of new software and hardware, including the server network, devices and firewalls.
•Is responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization.
•Plans for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.
•Manages user accounts and assets and assigns and updates security permissions on the network according to security policy.
•Provides support with escalated help desk requests.
•Leads all system infra projects and coordinates with different departments.
•Mentors team members and educates users.
•Supports and Administer Email Servers, Symantec End Point Antivirus, Comm Vault backup software, Websense Internet Security, WDS and WSUS.
•Tape Library and Backup management
•Testing and deploying software upgrades on all systems.
•Responsible for deployment and administration of all servers. Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance
•Unattended Software deployments.
•Software and Image deployment though automated solutions.
•Provides level 3 troubleshooting and problem solution for hardware and software support
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• 6-8 Years of Hands-on Experience with Windows Active Directory Installations, Configuration and Management
• Linux experience 4-5 years (Centos, RHEL, Ubuntu Linux). RHCE Certified preferred.
•Well versed with all aspect of Active Directory, User/Group Management, Group Policy Management, Global AD Deployments etc.
•Handson experience with PowerShell scripting.
•Advance knowledge of Windows File Permissions and Deployment.
•Hands on experience with Symantec End Point Administration, Comm Voult, Email server managements, WDS Administrations, WSUS updates and administrations.
•Knowledge of Isilon, EMC, Tintri, HP, Hitachi NAS or SAN Storages Administrations would be plus.
• Strong Knowledge of Datacenter Operations, Virtualizations and Network Infrastructure .
•E xtensive experience with VMware administration and configuration – VMware vSphere, VMware ESX(i) Server, VMware vCenter, VMware vMotion and other Vmware product.
•Expert level in GPO, Login Script, DHCP, DNS, AD/LDAP, WDS system integration.
•Beginner to intermediate level in 2D/3D applications (Nuke, Fusion, Maya, Adobe products, etc).
•Intermediate level in windows shell scripting and python.
•Administration & management of VMware Datastore and Horizon VDI
•Administration & management of AirGap solutions like KASM, Dockers, Citrix etc.
•VMware Horizon VDI implementation specifically utilizing the Horizon components like View server, Security server & Composer server
•Ability to work independently and within a team.
QUALIFICATIONS
•The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience and skill set:
• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or related field.
•Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired
•Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2003/2008) /desktop Operating Systems (XP/7)
•VMware Certifications VCP-DCV and/or VCAP-DCA are must qualifications.
•Other certifications like RHCE, CCNA etc is plus.
• Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V/Virtual Server
•A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking.
