job summary:the civil engineer aviation projects is responsible for planning, designing, and supervising the construction and maintenance of airport infrastructure such as runways, taxiways, aprons, terminal buildings, and support facilities. this role ensures that all civil engineering works comply with national and international aviation standards, environmental regulations, and safety requirements. the engineer works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable airport infrastructure projects.key responsibilities: 1. airport design & planningparticipate in the design, layout, and development of airside (runways, taxiways, aprons) and landside (roads, terminals, parking) infrastructure.prepare engineering drawings, design reports, and technical specifications.conduct feasibility studies and assist in the preparation of airport master plans.ensure design compliance with icao annex 14, faa, and dgca standards. 2. construction supervision & site managementoversee the execution of civil works at airport construction sites.supervise contractors, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and schedule targets.conduct inspections and verify materials, workmanship, and testing procedures.manage and resolve site-level issues, variations, and technical queries.maintain as-built documentation and project progress reports. 3. pavement design & maintenancedesign flexible and rigid pavements for runways and taxiways using faarfield, comfaa, or equivalent tools.analyze aircraft load data and subgrade conditions for pavement design optimization.develop pavement maintenance and rehabilitation plans based on performance evaluations. 4. drainage, utilities & environmental compliancedesign stormwater drainage systems, culverts, and airfield grading layouts.coordinate with mep teams for utility planning (water, power, sewer, communication).ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability regulations (eia, noise, and waste management). 5. coordination & documentationcollaborate with architects, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers to ensure design integration.prepare project documentation, including boqs, cost estimates, and tender specifications.liaise with clients, consultants, and aviation authorities for approvals and inspections.support project management teams with reports, presentations, and technical data.qualifications and requirements:bachelors degree in civil engineering (masters in transportation, structural, or airport engineering preferred).06 years of relevant experience in aviation or infrastructure development projects.proficiency in engineering software such as:autocad civil 3d, revit, , ms project, primavera, faarfield, pcase, or comfaa.sound knowledge of icao, faa, dgca, bis, and irc codes and standards.strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.excellent communication and coordination abilities.ability to work under pressure and within high-security airport environments.key skills:airport design and planningpavement and drainage designproject execution and site supervisionquantity estimation and cost controlautocad civil 3d and engineering software proficiencyteam leadership and coordinationsafety and regulatory compliancereport writing and documentationbehavioral attributes:detail-oriented and safety-consciousstrong leadership and teamwork abilitiesprofessional ethics and integrityadaptability to dynamic project environmentstime management and accountabilityperformance indicators:timely delivery of project milestonescompliance with design standards and safety normsquality of engineering documentation and reportingcost efficiency and adherence to project budgetsclient and stakeholder satisfactionExperience 0 - 6 Years No. of Openings 65 Education I.T.I., B.Arch, B.E, B.Tech, Any Bachelor Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, M.Tech, Any Master Degree Role Civil Engineer Industry Type Aviation / Airline / Aerospace Gender ( Male / Female ) Job Country India Type of Job Full Time Work Location Type Work from Office Face interview location Mumbai
