Work Hours: 3:30 AM to 1:00 PM EST
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Location: 100% Remote
We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with strong expertise in managing Oracle databases on AWS (EC2/RDS). The role involves deploying, configuring, monitoring, and tuning databases while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security in mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Oracle databases on AWS (EC2/RDS) with proactive monitoring via Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Perform performance tuning, SQL/PLSQL optimization, backup/recovery (RMAN), and patching.
- Implement high availability and disaster recovery (Oracle Data Guard, Multi-AZ RDS).
- Manage database security, access control, and compliance.
- Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for CI/CD integration and migrations.
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Deep expertise in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and diagnostics.
- Experience with RMAN, backup/recovery, and patching.
Nice to Have:
- PostgreSQL or SQL Server experience on AWS.
- Database migration (Oracle → PostgreSQL) with AWS DMS/Ora2Pg.
- AWS certifications (Database Specialty / Solutions Architect).
