Job Description:


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in manual testing omnichannel web applications, with a strong understanding of business requirements and technical workflows. This role requires hands-on experience with creating test plan, test strategy and test cases.

The ideal candidate will also have experience work with JIRA and any test management platforms as well as some experience in automation testing using open-source frameworks.

You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our web applications across various channels and devices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform detailed functional, regression, and exploratory testing of omnichannel web applications.
  • Validate that the web application meets business requirements and user expectations across various devices and platforms (desktop, mobile, tablet).
  • Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA , ensuring timely resolution.


  • Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to thoroughly understand business requirements and user stories.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed, actionable test cases and test plans.


  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test strategies to cover all aspects of the web application.
  • Define testing objectives, scope, timelines, and resources needed to execute test plans.
  • Continuously improve test processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Automation Testing (Optional but Preferred):
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using open-source frameworks (such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
  • Identify areas suitable for test automation to reduce manual effort and increase test coverage.


  • Work closely with developers and other team members to ensure seamless integration of new features and functions.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
  • Documentation:
  • Create and maintain accurate test documentation including test cases, test scripts, and defect reports.
  • Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders and management.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging tools/technologies in QA.
  • Propose and implement improvements to enhance the overall QA process.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manual testing for omnichannel web applications.
  • Proven ability to understand and validate business requirements and workflows.
  • Tools & Technologies:
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA for defect tracking and test management.
  • Familiarity with Confluence for documentation.
  • Knowledge of automation testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, etc.) and some experience in creating automation scripts using open-source tools.
  • Test Documentation:
  • Experience in creating test plans , test strategies , and detailed test cases .
  • Automation Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of writing automated tests using open-source frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or similar is highly preferred.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Agile or Scrum methodology.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
  • Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Experience in cross-browser and cross-device testing .
