Sustainability Specialist (Green Building Specialized)Job Summary:The Building Sustainability Engineer will be responsible for leading sustainable design and construction efforts, ensuring compliance with green building certification requirements, and managing sustainability initiatives across various building projects. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in building sustainability engineering.Responsibilities:Develop and implement sustainable design solutions for building projects to optimize performance and minimize energy consumptionLead sustainability efforts and collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate sustainable measures into building design and constructionEnsure compliance with green building certification requirements, such as LEED, WELL, and BREEAMManage and coordinate sustainability initiatives across multiple building and masterplan projects, including energy audits, waste management, and water conservationConduct life-cycle assessments and cost-benefit analysis of sustainability measures to inform decision-making and project planningProvide technical expertise on sustainable building design and construction to clients and project teamsStay up-to-date with industry developments and trends related to sustainable building practices and certification programsDevelop and maintain relationships with green building certification organizations, local governments, and other stakeholdersPrepare documentation related to green building certification and sustainability initiativesRequirements:Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in building sustainability engineering or related fieldStrong knowledge of green building certification programs, such as LEED, WELL, and BREEAMStrong analytical skills and ability to interpret building dataExperience with sustainability audits and compliance requirementsAbility to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in energy modeling software, such as eQUEST, EnergyPlus, or IESVEFamiliarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other building design software is a plus
