As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the RISK TECHNOLOGY Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Able to drive and develop scalable and resilient software solutions using wide range of technology stack and tool set
Execute software solutions, design, development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Develop secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by self and other team members
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ applied experience in Database, Application Design , Tableau, Java programming. In addition, 2 + years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design and architecture, application development, testing, and operational stability
Advanced in one or more programming language(s) especially in Java, SpringBoot,
Hands on in Database and data analytics tooling Tableau, Altryx
Hands-on experience in SQL, performance tuning and application debugging
Experience in working in build and deploy pipelines using Jules, Spinnaker tools
Experience in middleware technologies, microservices based architecture and system design skills
Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency and Security
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies in React / Angular
Formal training or certification in AWS is a plus
Willingness to learn and explore other cutting edge technologies relevant for the product development
Exposure to banking/financial domain especially in risk reporting is a plus
Familiarity with data observability tools Grafana, Telemetry for business and tech flows monitoring
