Principal Officer (Company Secretary) – Crypto Startup, Bangalore
Job Summary : Our client, a startup engaged in a mission to reshape the future of crypto futures trading, is keen to hire for the role of Company Secretary (CS) with a minimum 8+ years of experience post qualification. They are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Principal Officer to lead the organization's operations and ensure regulatory compliance. The Principal Officer will be responsible for overseeing key functions, including governance, risk management, compliance, and overall organizational leadership. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of industry regulations and best practices. This role is critical to driving the company's success and maintaining its reputation in the industry.

Designation: Principal Officer
The selected Candidate will be responsible for the following:
Ensure the organization's full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Oversee the implementation of compliance programs and policies across the organization.
Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies, auditors, and external stakeholders.
Develop and implement effective governance frameworks to ensure transparency and accountability within the organization.
Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with the organization's operations, ensuring risk mitigation strategies are in place.
Regularly review and update governance and risk management policies in line with industry best practices.
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the organization, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and goals.
Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and execute long-term business strategies.
Lead cross-functional teams to drive key initiatives and achieve organizational objectives.
Ensure that all operations adhere to the highest ethical standards and corporate governance principles.
Represent the organization in industry forums, conferences, and meetings, advocating for the company's interests.
Develop, implement, and review organizational policies to ensure they meet legal, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Ensure all employees are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Provide training and support to staff on regulatory changes and compliance matters.
Prepare and present comprehensive reports to the board of directors and senior management on compliance, risk, and operational performance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance and risk management activities.
Ensure timely submission of all regulatory filings and reports.
Role and Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, and operational oversight.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity and transparency.
Risk Assessment,Anti Money Laundering,Compliance Analysis.
Experience with FIU India is considered an added advantage.
Education: Company Secretary
Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience in Senior Leadership role preferably in compliance, risk management, or corporate governance.
Work Schedule: Mon - Fri
Salary: Competitive salary package
