Job Purpose:The Assistant Manager - Industrial Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developingmotorcycle designs from initial ideas to production-ready solutions. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Clay Modelers, Engineers, and Digital Sculptors, to create motorcycles that embody Royal Enfield’s legacy while pushing the boundaries of design.Position Overview:Location: ChennaiPosition Title: Assistant ManagerReports to: Group Manager - Product Strategy & Industrial DesignFunction: Product Strategy & Industrial DesignWhat you’ll do:- Conduct research, sketch, and visualize innovative motorcycle concepts aligned with Royal Enfield’s design philosophy.- Develop motorcycle designs from initial sketches to digital 3D models, ensuring a balance between aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability.- Work closely with clay modelers to refine design proportions and surfaces through physical prototypes.- Create high-quality 3D models using Blender, Rhino, or Alias to communicate design intent effectively.- Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to translate design concepts into feasible production models.- Stay updated with motorcycle design trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design innovation.- Prepare and present design proposals through high-quality renders, sketches, and presentations.What you'll bring:Experience: 2 - 3 years of experience in motorcycle design, preferably in a two-wheeler or automotive company.Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or a related field.Why work with us?We are a global leader in middleweight motorcycles (250-750cc), operating in 65 countries.
