- Position – Shift Engineer Electrical- Qualification – Bachelor of Degree or Diploma In Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering- Experience – 4 years to 15 years.- Job location – Paradeep, Odisha

1. Job Purpose

The job holder is accountable for all legal activities in the country (quality and cost), including business partnering, local compliance, litigation, general legal services - contracts, Intellectual Property/patents, labour, regulatory, product safety, promotion, approvals (products/manufacturing), co-operations (commercial/strategic)- and external legal advisor contacts. S/he thereby protects the assets and reputation of the company and ensures compliance with all applicable local country laws and regulations including those pertaining to all foreign subsidiaries of the company (unless within the scope of responsibility of the local in-house counsel in that country).

▪ This position reports into the Country Head, serves as an interface and strategic point of contact to the Global Legal Team.

2. Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Accountabilities Activities

Shift Production Targets

▪ Providing power at agreed standards throughout the year for enhanced productivity.

Ensuring Equipment Availability throughout the year for minimization in production losses

▪ Ensure General Electrical Maintenance, Break-down Maintenance and Lubrication of Machinery & Equipment

▪ Support Shift in-charge with relevant data

Equipment Availability

Preventive Maintenance of Equipment Periodical monitoring of calibration in context of all Instrumentation related equipment

Responsible for preparation of material indents for all Electrical Spares

▪ Responsible for periodical preventive maintenance schedules of all Machinery & Equipment and maintain their records from time to time.

Energy Management

Set the Power / Energy consumption benchmarks in accordance with Production Targets Generating awareness towards Energy Conservation among all employees

Training and Development

On the job training to operators Safety awareness training to housekeeping workers.

▪ Classroom training to operators

Safety

Compliance to all safety norms across the Plant Providing necessary support to Safety Department towards conducting Safety Audits

▪ Focus on behavioural based safety – near misses, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions identification and closing

Statutory Compliance

Ensure to coordinate all statutory inspections pertaining to Electrical as per the schedule

3. Key Challenges

a. Coordination for internal production team and other maintenance team for smooth on-time availability of Machine

b. Ensure the safety of all stakeholders and Associates.

4. Key Decisions

i. Made by Jobholder

a. Responding to emergency situations like critical failure and safety incidents. Monitoring of field electrical equipment and their timely calibration for smooth functioning

ii. b. Recommendations to Superior

b. Recommends for changes in the energy management for power consumption optimization.

c. Recommends equipment modifications for plant optimization.

d. Recommends for safety enhancement by engineering controls We practice collaboration, dynamism and creativity to excel every day and create a better world

a. Bachelor of Degree or Diploma In Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering

ii. Total Years of Experience

a. 4 to 15 years of experiences in the field of Electrical and instrumentation system.

a. in the field of Electrical and Instrumentation system, Process Industry.

iv. Behavorial Skills

a. Basic Managerial skill and well conversant with Electrical Safety systems, Interpersonal Skills, Communication Skills, coordination Skills.
