Job Description:
Drive Business Results:
1. Lead the HR function, setting the overall HR strategy in alignment with upgrad’s fast-paced growth and international presence.
2. Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement best practices that foster an inclusive, high-performance culture
3. Adopt a P&L Mindset and drive HR through a Business lens.
4. Drive teams to innovate and raise benchmarks on objectives such as service levels,cost and productivity.
5. Drive the implementation of COE products and services in the organization.
6. Measures effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs to ensure they are delivering desired business outcomes.
Deploy Manpower Strategy:
1. Co-create the Manpower strategy with Head – Talent Acquisition and Business Leaders.
2. Deploy proactive strategies to drive retention and control absenteeism.
3. Support business teams to solve short term and long-term talent and productivity issues.
4. Own and drive the Diversity Hiring Targets across the BU.
Capability Building:
1. Partner with Talent Lead to create and drive the capability strategy for the BU encompassing training, talent management/succession planning, leadership development.
2. Drive career paths and development plans for identified successors/top talent in the BU.
Employee Lifecyle Management:
1. Drive governance on HR Hygiene processes and compliances.
2. Ensure induction & onboarding for senior leaders.
3. Drive a consistent employee experience and engaging work environment across locations, monitor adherence to agreed engagement platforms and calendars.
4. Oversee the performance management process within the International Business Unit including goal setting, performance reviews and development planning.
5. Partner with L&D team to identify training needs.
6. Lead change management initiatives.
7. Serve as a trusted advisor to the Business leader and employees, providing guidance and supports on HR-Related matters, including conflict resolution, performance improvement and disciplinary actions.
Job Specification:
Education & Skills:
1. Full time Post Graduate in MBA with a minimum of 8 years of experience in HR.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to liaise with senior stakeholders.
3. Engaging with heads of department.
4. Strong leadership, Problem-solving & people skills
Leadership Competency:
1. Adept at designing frameworks & processes from scratch basis organizational needs.
2. Ability to create buy in for interventions amongst HR and Business Leadership.
3. Mindset towards scalability, sustainability and cost consciousness
4. Good analytical skills.
5. Developing HR strategies, policies, and practices
