About the Role


Our client are engineering a software suite for businesses that will transform raw data into opportunities making the data revolution something that every business can participate. They are on the verge of exponential growth as a business. As part of this growth, they are seeking a highly skilled Senior full stack .NET software engineer to join their team and support the quality engineering of the Blackpearl Group software suite. Their ideal candidate should be quick to understand our products, feature sets, and have an engineering focus, enabling efficient and effective development.

The duties will include:


  • Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of our SaaS website and email tracking software applications.
  • Architecture and Design: Collaborate with the development team to design scalable and efficient software architecture that supports our growing user base.
  • Front-End Development: Create responsive and interactive user interfaces using React.js, ensuring a seamless user experience and adhering to design specifications.
  • Back-end Development: Develop robust and scalable server-side components using .NET Framework and .NET Core, including APIs and data integration.
  • Source Control Management: Utilize GitHub for version control, ensuring code integrity, collaboration, and efficient code review processes.
  • Queue Integration: Implement and manage queuing systems like RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing and communication between application components.
  • Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, and work with database systems to ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Continuous Delivery (CD): Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate the software delivery process and ensure rapid and reliable deployments.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of both front-end and back-end components to ensure fast loading times and smooth user interactions.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for data security, authentication, and authorization in accordance with industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Collaborate with the support and QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring the stability of our software.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for development processes, APIs, and software architecture to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in web development, .NET technologies, queuing systems, and best practices, and share knowledge with the development team.


About You


The ideal candidate will have:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack .NET Developer with a focus on web application development.
  • Strong proficiency in React.js for front-end development and .NET Framework/.NET Core for back-end development.
  • Experience with source control systems such as GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
  • Experience with queuing systems such as RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing.
  • Proficient in Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Solid understanding of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
  • Proficient in database design and SQL, with experience in database systems like SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
  • Familiarity with SaaS architecture and cloud-based services (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Prior experience with web tracking or analytics software is a plus.
  • Able to work hours that include at least 3 hours overlap with New Zealand business hours.
