Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Use a diverse range of Media broadcast and production monitoring tools to identify and resolve complex service impacting issues across a range of technologies and platforms.Initiate response to service disruption and support proactive measures aimed at preventing recurrence.Accurate logging of incidents accurately including technical response and action taken.Implementing contingency procedures in response to planned or unexpected eventsHandover of incident and information across shift changes.Keep informed of operational changes ensuring that actions are taken in line with best practice.
Knowledge, skills, training and experience:
Experience and excellent knowledge in News media tools and applications (A/V Matrix, Talkback, Audio and Video Mixer, Camera’s, Outside Broadcast Live etc.)Experience in media (Radio, TV and Digital) and creative environments.Experience of installations, configurations and maintenance of Broadcast & IT Kits.Excellent Knowledge of Streaming SolutionGood Knowledge of RTMP, SRT, UDP, Zixi etc.Excellent knowledge of Dante, midi and AESExperience and excellent knowledge in Baseband Signal workflow.Good Understanding of NDI toolsBroad technical knowledge, including understanding of complex Broadcast and Media systems built from separate componentsExperience of operating within, or demonstrable knowledge of, multi-platform environmentsExperience in supporting a wide range of broadcast and production technologies, systems and equipment.Experience of logging and managing incidents in an operational environmentFamiliarity with using a range of diagnostic and monitoring tools.Troubleshooting and diagnosing defects in complex systemsAble to create supporting documentation.Able to priorities according to service impact and work under pressureGood problem-solving skills.Good communication skills; Able to explain information to technical and non-technical audiences.Adaptable and able to operate effectively in changing environments.Understanding of Network connectivity.Understanding of Live Streaming is plus.Knowledge of handling of outdoor live broadcast is Plus.
