Team Lead Content Writer

Job purpose

The Content Team Lead will support the development and execution of the content strategy. This role

involves maintaining existing performance across various forms of content while identifying areas of

improvement to help generate more traffic to core product verticals and maximize conversion metrics.

The Content Team Lead will have the opportunity to own and drive the content initiatives of the

company. You will get to define KPIs and have true autonomy over initiatives related to:

Responsibilities

● Take operational ownership of the Content creation schedule and have accountability for

coordinating the internal task management platform.

● Line management of a team of internal content creators, supporting each team member to

create a high volume of quality content output to drive a more comprehensive strategy.

● Hold weekly content team stand-ups to aid content planning and optimize team efficiency.

Work to develop individual team members with monthly performance meetings

● Implement, maintain, and refine an SEO strategy to improve the online reach of the client's

products. Collaborate with the SEO team to implement best practice technical SEO across all

properties.

● Produce regular reports to provide insight into content performance across various marketing

channels.

● Work to maintain existing content production while continuously researching and

recommending new avenues to increase content reach (across written, audio and video).

● Serve as editor-in-chief for all content to ensure quality, clarity, and consistency

● Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets.

● Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style, and layout.

● Maintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of

content throughout the year.

● Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web

traffic.

● Track web analytics to ascertain content engagement levels.

● Develop an editorial calendar and ensure the content team is on board.

● Ensure compliance with the law (e.g., copyright and data protection).

● Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw the audience's attention.

● Accountable to the higher management for timely submissions of the tasks from the writers

under their team.

● Collaborate with brand, product, and sales managers to create promotional concepts

● Discover training needs and provide coaching

● Listen to team members' feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts

Qualifications and Experience

● Master's degree in English, Journalism, or related field

● 10+ years demonstrated experience in writing/editing/publishing corporate content specific for

the web, preferably for a B2B service company.

● Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.

● Experience in managing or leading team members

● Experience in managing site content and producing content schedules

● Experience in using content to acquire, retain, and engage customers

● Experience in the production and marketing of various forms of content (namely written, audio

and video).

● Excellent technical SEO management skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45, ₹50,000.00 per month
