Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cellular Core Network Developer to design, document, and implement network functions of a cloud-based, 3GPP-compliant 5G SA home network. The role requires strong collaboration with the tech lead and other team members, along with a focus on timely and predictable delivery of tested software.

Role: Developer – Cellular Core Network

Location: Gurgaon

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days in-office + 2 days remote)

Duration: Long-term (12+ months)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and implement 5G SA core network functions.
  • Provide accurate effort and schedule estimates.
  • Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings and share progress updates.
  • Deliver robust, tested, and production-ready software.
  • Collaborate closely with the tech lead and cross-functional teams.
  • Desired Domain Experience

3GPP Cellular Network Standards:

  • 2G/3G (SS7), 4G (Diameter), 5G SA

  • RADIUS, SMS, SMPP, VoLTE

API Development & Security:

  • OAuth2, PKI, mTLS, SSL

IP Networks:

  • Packet inspection, routing, IP allocation & assignment

  • Subnets, CIDR specification, IPv6

Development Skills

Required (5–7 years):

  • Java
  • Database (MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, Redis – at least one)
  • pcap/wireshark/tcpdump
  • Git source control

Desirable:

  • Spring Boot
  • Docker/Containers/Kubernetes
  • C/C++

Education

BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent
