Job Summary

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with subject matter experts in Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Leadership to write smart and high-quality technical documents that convert into tangible business value. Technical writer will work with internal organizations to develop, plan, and write/edit internal and external technical documentation and product knowledge assets. Work requires use of the appropriate editorial/logical methodologies, process management, and relevant knowledge management practices to create content assets that can be consumed by both internal and external customers. This role must ensure that documentation is written in a manner that customers with limited to highly proficient technical product knowledge can understand and use the material.

Principal Accountability

- Deliver high-quality documentation and quality assurance standards.- Understand complex and new concepts and communicate them to users in a simple, engaging manner.- Edit and proofread documents to maintain consistency across user documentation.- Develop documentation deliverables in formats to best meet the users' needs.- Conduct interviews with various technical subject matter experts to gather information.- Work closely with partner teams like sales, marketing and customer success to build and evangelize the documentation.- Gather use cases and functional data to integrate it into user documentation and examples.- Plan and schedule documentation work to ensure client deliverable deadlines and release dates are met.- Implement knowledge management systems to maintain various technical and knowledge assets.

Best fit profile

- Bachelor’s degree, preferable in a technical field with focus on English, writing and communications.- 4+yrs of experience in an IT environment as a Technical Writer.- Excellent editing skills.- Strong analytical skills and ability to work well in a collaborative environment with multiple teams.- Good work ethic, positive attitude with willingness to jump in and tackle new challenges.- Experience with using Content / Knowledge Management Systems.- Experience with modern content creation and management tools and systems- Candidate with Agri-tech knowledge is a plus but not mandatory
