Overview


We are looking for a talented Python Developer Intern to join our dynamic fintech team. As a Python Developer Intern, you will work on data analysis, backend services , and quant research projects that contribute to stock market applications . You will collaborate closely with our Quant Team and AI/ML Team in a full-time, remote position to gain hands-on experience in building enterprise-level financial technology solutions. This is a full-time internship (Monday to Friday) that requires active collaboration with our team during standard working hours.


Project Scope


As an intern, you will work on exciting projects related to data analysis , developing backend services , and contributing to quantitative research . Your work will focus on building and enhancing applications for stock market analysis , leveraging machine learning algorithms to derive insights and create robust solutions.


Responsibilities


  • Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Django, Flask, or FastAPI .


  • Collaborate with the Quant Team on quantitative research projects and implement data-driven solutions.


  • Work with the AI/ML Team to contribute to machine learning algorithms for financial analytics.


  • Utilize Pandas , NumPy , and other Python libraries for data analysis and processing.


  • Participate in the development of stock market applications and other enterprise-level fintech solutions.


  • Maintain clean, efficient code following industry best practices.


  • Collaborate closely with team members during working hours in the IST time zone to ensure seamless project execution.


  • Participate in Scrum meetings , including daily stand-ups , sprint planning , and retrospectives .

Reporting Structure & Mentorship


  • You will report directly to the AI/ML Team and Quant Team , who will guide you throughout the internship, providing the necessary support to help you excel in your role.


Requirements


  • Strong knowledge of Python and familiarity with relevant Python libraries like Pandas , NumPy , etc.


  • Experience or willingness to learn backend frameworks such as Django , Flask , or FastAPI .


  • Problem-solving skills and an eagerness to work on complex challenges related to finance and data.


  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members during working hours in the IST time zone .


  • Willingness to learn and contribute actively to team projects.


Nice to Have


  • Knowledge of stock market basics , quantitative finance, or prior experience in working with financial datasets.


  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and data visualization tools.


  • Experience with cloud services like AWS , Azure , or GCP for deploying models and backend services.


Work Environment


  • Work Schedule : Full-time , Monday to Friday, fully remote , collaborating actively with the team during standard IST working hours .


Stipend/Benefits


  • Stipend : 5000 INR per month during the internship.

Deliverables & Success Metrics


  • Deliverables : Interns are expected to work on delivering functioning backend services , API integrations , and contribute to quantitative research by assisting in creating machine learning models. They will be required to contribute to stock market data analysis and provide tangible results in collaboration with the Quant Team .


  • Success Metrics : Success will be measured based on the intern's quality of code , timely delivery of assigned tasks, collaboration with the team , and the ability to apply learning to solve practical problems . Effective contribution to Scrum ceremonies will also be a factor.
