We value engineers who enjoy building from the ground up, working closely with a small team, and seeing their work directly make an impact.
We're looking for a Hardware Test Engineer who can help us design, set up, and execute validation and verification of motor control hardware, inverters, and embedded systems. You'll work closely with the firmware and hardware teams to ensure reliable performance, identify issues early, and develop test processes that scale with the business.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute test plans for hardware, inverters, and motor controllers.
• Design test setups, including instrumentation, wiring, and safety systems.
• Perform hands-on testing with motors, drives, and power electronics in the lab.
• Collect, analyze, and document test data to support engineering decisions.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and collaborate with firmware and hardware engineers to resolve them.
• Support compliance, reliability, and safety testing as needed.
• Help build and maintain lab infrastructure, test benches, and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience with hardware testing, validation, or lab engineering roles.
• Hands-on skills with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, multimeters, and other lab equipment.
• Understanding of motors, inverters, and power electronics fundamentals.
• Ability to follow safety practices when working with high voltage and rotating machinery.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
Nice to have:
• Experience with automated test systems and scripting (Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, etc.).
• Knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, SPI, UART, etc.).
• Background in thermal, EMI/EMC, or environmental testing.
• Prior experience in small teams or startups where you wore multiple hats.
