About the Role
Introduction –

This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape one of Oxford University Press India's most significant product lines—Combined Courses—serving schools across India. You'll be part of a dynamic team, working on innovative projects that reflect the latest educational policies and frameworks, including NEP and NCF. The role also provides exposure to strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership in a high-growth environment.

Opportunity –

As Head, FCCL you will:

  • Lead the development and expansion of the Combined Courses list, with a focus on South India.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to understand regional educational needs and develop tailored products.
  • Build a distinct portfolio for state boards in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
  • Liaise with content teams in Noida and other internal stakeholders to drive product growth and revenue.
  • Conduct market research, need analysis, and curriculum design aligned with NEP and NCF.
  • Define product lifecycles, timelines, stylesheets, and art styles suited to age groups and budgets.
  • Guide editors through product development stages, ensuring quality and age-appropriateness.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business growth, ensuring alignment with OUPI's educational and commercial goals.
  • Represent the department in cross-divisional initiatives and external engagements.
About You
Essential Criteria
  • Postgraduate degree with 10–15 years of experience in Education, EdTech, or Publishing.
  • Strong project management skills and functional competencies.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage budgets.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in curriculum design and educational product development.
  • Familiarity with NEP and NCF frameworks.
  • Exposure to South Indian education markets.
People Management
  • Lead and mentor a team of editors based in Chennai.
  • Oversee resource planning, performance reviews, and professional development.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
Key Interfaces
  • Internal: Sales, subject list heads, editors, operations, finance, HR, digital, and product teams.
  • External: School teachers, decision-makers, digital partners, contractors, and freelancers.
