We are looking for a Principal Engineer in Pre-Silicon Validation and Emulation to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and performance of our SoC designs through rigorous pre-silicon validation and emulation processes.
As a Principal Engineer in Pre-Silicon Validation and Emulation, you will lead the validation and emulation efforts for complex SoC designs using industry-leading tools like Palladium, Zebu, and Veloce emulators. You will develop and optimize SV/UVM testbenches and integrate Accelerated Verification IPs (AVIPs) to expedite verification processes. This role demands deep technical expertise in pre-silicon validation and hands-on experience with state-of-the-art emulation and debugging tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the pre-silicon validation and emulation of complex SoC designs using Palladium, Zebu, and Veloce emulation platforms.
Develop and enhance SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches to ensure comprehensive validation coverage.
Conduct board-level validation, employing analysers, debuggers, and other tools to identify and resolve issues early in the design cycle.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, verification, and system engineering, to meet validation goals and project milestones.
Manage and optimize co-simulation environments, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software components.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and promoting best practices in pre-silicon validation and emulation.
Integrate and leverage Accelerated Verification IPs (AVIPs) to improve verification efficiency and reduce cycle times.
Utilize FPGA prototyping to accelerate pre-silicon verification and validate design functionality in a hardware environment.
Stay informed on the latest advancements in pre-silicon validation, emulation, and related methodologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
12+ years of experience in hardware emulation or SoC verification, with in-depth knowledge of emulation platforms like Palladium, Zebu, or Veloce.
Extensive experience in developing SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and managing pre-silicon validation environments.
Strong proficiency in FPGA prototyping and Accelerated Verification IPs (AVIPs) for speeding up verification processes.
Solid understanding of hardware description languages (SystemVerilog, Verilog) and scripting languages (Python, Perl, TCL).
Hands-on experience with co-simulation environments, as well as validation tools like analyzers and debuggers for board-level validation.
In-depth knowledge of SoC architecture, including CPU, memory, and peripheral interfaces.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a focus on pre-silicon debugging and issue resolution.
Proven leadership experience in guiding and mentoring engineering teams in validation and emulation projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with low-power verification and formal verification techniques.
Knowledge of hardware-software co-emulation and post-silicon validation.
