Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Node.js Developer with a strong focus on Express.js to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will drive the development of scalable server-side applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful projects. Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and Express.js.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements seamlessly with server-side logic.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security, employing best practices.
  • Implement and manage authentication and authorization mechanisms using JWT, OAuth, or similar protocols.
  • Handle database interactions effectively with MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Develop and maintain microservices to ensure modularity and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug application issues, implementing solutions to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices, including SOLID principles.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API references, and workflows.


Requirements:


  • 3+ years of experience as a Node.js Developer with a strong emphasis on Express.js.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, including modern ES6+ syntax.
  • Expertise in working with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, including indexing and performance tuning.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience building and maintaining them.
  • Hands-on experience with Node Package Manager (npm) and managing dependencies.
  • Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, including promises and async/await patterns.
  • Familiarity with event-driven programming and middleware in Node.js.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and workflow methodologies such as GitFlow.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing unit tests and integration tests using tools like Mocha, Chai, or Jest.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker for application deployment.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, including data encryption and vulnerability mitigation.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, actively participating in sprints, planning, and retrospectives.


Nice to Have:


  • Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools and practices, including Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Experience with GraphQL and other API query languages.
  • Prior experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka.
