Job Description: Freelance Packaging Designer for Toys and Games

Position: Freelance Packaging Designer

Experience Required: Minimum 4 years in toys and games packaging design

Location: Remote/Flexible

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative freelance Packaging Designer with proven experience in designing packaging for toys and games. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of consumer behavior, and the ability to create engaging and innovative packaging that resonates with children and parents alike.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Development:

- Conceptualize and create eye-catching packaging designs for our toy and game products.- Develop packaging concepts that align with the brand identity, target audience, and product positioning.- Collaborate with product development teams to understand the unique selling points of each product.

1. Brand Alignment:

- Ensure all packaging designs align with the brand's vision and guidelines.- Develop designs that appeal to children, parents, and gift buyers while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

1. Material and Printing Expertise:

- Select appropriate packaging materials and finishes to enhance design and durability.- Work closely with printing vendors to ensure high-quality production and color accuracy.

1. Market Research:

- Stay updated with market trends in toy and game packaging design.- Incorporate market insights and consumer feedback into packaging solutions.

1. Compliance:

- Design packaging that complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements for toy safety and labeling.

1. Project Management:

- Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of designs.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Minimum 4 years of proven experience in packaging design, specifically for toys and games.- Strong portfolio showcasing creative and successful packaging designs for children’s products.- Expertise in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.).- Knowledge of 3D rendering software is a plus.- Understanding of child-friendly aesthetics and safety guidelines.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
