Location : Chennai, India Experience : 4 Years Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to join our dynamic team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in SAP ABAP development and have experience in both implementation and support projects within ECC or S/4HANA environments. This role requires a hands-on individual with a proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities : Implementation & Development : - Participate in full lifecycle SAP implementations, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. - Develop and maintain ABAP programs, including interactive and classical reports, dialog programs, interfaces, and enhancements. - Design and develop custom solutions using ABAP Workbench, including tables, data elements, domains, structures, views, and search tools. - Develop dialog programs using Screen Painter, Flow Logic, and Dialog Programming. - Implement enhancements using User Exits, BADIs, and Enhancement Spots. - Develop interfaces using BAPIs and RFCs to integrate SAP with external systems. - Design and develop layouts using Adobe Forms, SMARTFORMS, and SAP Scripts. - Develop and maintain OData services and APIs. - Develop CDS views and custom logic in Public Cloud. - Implement custom field enhancement (BADI) and custom business objects. Support & Maintenance : - Provide technical support for SAP ECC or S/4HANA systems, resolving incidents and service requests in a timely manner. - Perform debugging and error log analysis to identify and resolve issues. - Conduct performance tuning and optimization of ABAP programs using debugging and performance analysis tools. - Provide support for SAP Public Cloud projects. Technical Skills : - Proficient in ABAP programming and development. - Strong understanding of SAP architecture and data structures. - Experience with SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI, CO) is a plus. - Experience with ABAP Debugging, Performance Tools, and Runtime Analysis. - Knowledge of OData and API development. - Knowledge of CDS Views and custom logic in Public Cloud. - Knowledge of custom field enhancement (BADI) and custom business objects. - Basic Knowledge of Java Scripts. Collaboration & Communication : - Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and end-users to understand requirements and deliver solutions. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. - Document technical specifications and development activities. Required Skills & Experience : - Minimum 4 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Consultant. - At least one full lifecycle SAP implementation experience (ECC or S/4HANA). - Minimum of one support project experience in SAP Public Cloud. - Proven experience in supporting SAP ECC or S/4HANA systems. - Strong expertise in ABAP programming, including reports, dialog programs, interfaces, and enhancements. - Experience with BAPIs, RFCs, Adobe Forms, SMARTFORMS, and SAP Scripts. - Proficient in debugging and performance tuning. - Knowledge of OData and API development. - Knowledge of CDS Views and custom logic in Public Cloud. - Knowledge of custom field enhancement (BADI) and custom business objects. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Basic knowledge of Java Scripts. Preferred Skills : - SAP S/4HANA experience. - Experience with SAP Fiori development. - SAP Certification in ABAP. - Experience with SAP Cloud Application Studio. (ref:hirist.tech)
