We're seeking a Social Media Manager (to grow Gaana South from Ground-Up), who brings energy, structure, and intuition to digital execution. This is not just about thinking of reels, story polls, and scheduling posts — it's about building as well as growing responsive communities , owning timelines , thought-through planning and coordination, cross-team collaboration, and actioning trends in real time while implementing the creative strategy set by the Regional Content Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the content calendar across platforms (Instagram, X, YouTube, Facebook)
  • Coordinate with copywriters, designers, and across-multiple-departments for on-time asset rollouts.
  • Be the first responder to cultural trends, meme formats, artist drops, and fandom moments — create, adapt, post
  • Monitor analytics to spot what's working and where optimizations are needed
  • Own all publishing pipelines: scheduling, captioning, tagging, CTA embeds
  • Handle live interactions, Q&As, and reactions during key campaign periods
  • Artist & Label, as well as in-house and external talent coordination and set-up for shaping the assets.
  • Maintain organized documentation (content banks, artist birthdays, campaign rollout sheets)
  • Participate in weekly brainstorms + share reports with strategic insights and inputs.

Key KPIs

  • Platform-wise follower growth (% and absolute)
  • Engagement Rate (ER) across content types
  • Speed-to-post (TTR) on trending formats
  • Volume of posts/live moments per week
  • Community comment replies / sentiment analysis.
  • Reporting and team communication.

Must-Have Skills

  • 4-6yrs years experience in digital marketing campaign management or social media account growth & content strategy + execution
  • Deep familiarity with South Indian fandom culture (music, film, meme & pop pages and trends)
  • Mastery in tools like Meta Business suite and creator studio, Instagram, YouTube Studio, Snapchat, WhatsApp for Business, Canva, Buffer/Hootsuite
  • Strong coordination & tracking skills able to follow through to final posting and performance of the post.
  • Fluency in any two South Indian languages along with English.
  • Attention to detail is non-negotiable.
  • Bonus: Experience in managing / growing meme pages, film production house accounts or fan accounts or movie accounts as part of an agency.
