Job Description:As a Software Engineer Level 1 in our Data Engineering team, you will play a key role in building and maintaining data pipelines, processing large volumes of data, and optimizing data workflows. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in any Big Data Platform, along with strong skills in SQL and ETL processes. Additionally, excellent communication skills are essential for effectively coordinating with various partners and communicating about current issues impacting our data operations.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load large volumes of data from multiple sources into our data lake or warehouse.Implement and optimize SQL queries to perform data analysis, generate reports, and extract insights from structured and unstructured data.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers, to gather requirements, define data needs, and ensure data quality and integrity.Proactively identify and communicate current issues, trends, and challenges affecting our data operations, offering recommendations and solutions to address them.Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data processing systems.Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends in big data platforms and data engineering, and apply this knowledge to enhance our data capabilities.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.1-3 years of experience in data engineering or software development, with exposure to any Big Data Platform (e.g.,

HPCC

, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica).Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and professional development.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).Understanding of big data processing frameworks and distributed computing principles.If you are a motivated and ambitious Software Engineer with a passion for data engineering and a desire to make an impact, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
