Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain VisionPlus applications to meet business requirements.

- Collaborate with business analysts and other developers to understand functional needs and translate them into technical solutions.

- Develop COBOL programs and utilize VisionPlus APIs to interact with core modules and functionalities.

- Write efficient database queries and updates to retrieve and manipulate data within VisionPlus systems.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and maintainability within the team.

- Troubleshoot and resolve VisionPlus application issues to ensure optimal system performance and stability.

- Participate in the implementation and testing of new VisionPlus releases and upgrades.

- Document code functionalities and maintain clear technical documentation for future reference.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest VisionPlus features, tools, and best practices.

Experience :

- 3-6 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on the VisionPlus platform.

- Proven track record of designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing VisionPlus applications.

- In-depth knowledge of VisionPlus core modules (CMS, FAS, TRAMS, VMx, etc) and their functionalities.

- Expertise in COBOL programming language and understanding of CICS and VSAM concepts for VisionPlus development.

- Experience with designing and implementing database queries and updates using DB2 for VisionPlus data manipulation.

- Familiarity with batch processing and online processing functionalities within VisionPlus (a plus).

- Experience with unit testing frameworks and writing unit tests for VisionPlus code (a plus).

- Understanding of change management processes and experience implementing changes in VisionPlus environments (a plus).

- Experience with version control systems (Git) for collaborative development (a plus).

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.

- A passion for building high-quality, maintainable, and efficient VisionPlus applications.

- A desire to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in VisionPlus features and development methodologies.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience with a strong portfolio)
