Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs and web services securely within Android applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with third-party libraries, APIs, and SDKs (e.g., Google Maps integration).
  • Identify and resolve application bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues.
  • Ensure code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Manage the full app lifecycle including deployment, updates, and monitoring on the Google Play Store.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of proven experience in Android app development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
  • Experience in consuming and integrating secure web services (REST/JSON).
  • Familiarity with app architecture patterns (MVP, MVVM, etc.).
  • Experience with Google Play Store submission, app updates, and release management.
  • Good understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Google Maps integration and other location-based services.
  • Knowledge of push notifications, deep linking, and in-app purchases.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for mobile development.
