**Role Overview:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our Operator team as the Director – Capital. The ideal candidate must have a successful track record of building and leading funding teams and networks to raise capital, preferably for Digital, Tech, Deep-tech firms in the Pre-seed/Seed/Start-up stages.

The candidate should have a flair for business development, especially in establishing deep contacts with family offices and Angel investors, including High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs), Ultra HNIs, and Micro Private Equity (PE) firms.

This role is crucial for establishing and nurturing investor relationships and securing funds to support our portfolio companies. The candidate must possess people management skills to inspire and motivate their team members and achieve fund-raising targets within the specified time period.

The candidate may also be required to support fund raising directly for the Portfolio companies at each stage of the portfolio company. This requires significant exposure to raising funds from VCs, Private equity firms, and Investment Bankers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Build a capable team comprising internal team members and external partners to support fund raising for the Venture Operator.
  • Meet fund targets through primarily fundraising from Family offices, Angel investors (mainly HNIs), and Micro PE firms.
  • Support the raising of funds directly for the Portfolio companies through VCs, Investment banks, and PE firms.
  • Drive fundraising efforts by initiating and leading introductory conversations with key potential investors.
  • Ensure investor interest and engagement, pushing for deep-dive calls and meetings with key investors.
  • Leverage existing investor connections to facilitate fundraising activities.
  • Develop, manage, and grow Investor Relationships.

**Strategic Planning and Execution:**

  • Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies and plans, including acquiring Venture partner and strategic alliance partner.
  • Identify potential fundraising opportunities and pursue them proactively.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on fundraising activities and progress to the senior management team.

**Qualifications:**

  • A proven 7 to 10 year track record in front-end fundraising, including a minimum of 3 years in leading teams to raise funds for Start-ups.
  • A strong existing network of Family offices, HNI investors, Angel Network investors, and PE firms.
  • Effective people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to drive fundraising initiatives and close deals independently.

**Experience:**

  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience with a proven track record in Fund raising and managing teams.
  • A minimum Degree (MBA will be an added advantage).
