Senior Product Designer

Position Summary The Senior Designer role at Chargebee is an exciting opportunity for someone with 5–8 years of experience who’s passionate about solving real customer problems through design. We’re looking for a designer who’s curious, eager to explore possibilities, and skilled at translating insights into thoughtful, user-centered solutions. In this role, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end design work, from discovery to delivery, collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to shape seamless customer experiences. You’ll balance product thinking with design craft, ensuring solutions not only look great but also drive impact for the business and its users. While this role is focused on hands-on design, you’ll also contribute to improving our processes and team practices. Key Responsibilities: Build well-researched design recommendations grounded in user insights, data, and competitor analysis to inform product decisions. Leverage AI tools as part of the design workflow to improve efficiency and explore innovative approaches. Take ownership of end-to-end design execution for projects, from research and concepting to delivery. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet both business objectives and user needs. Conduct usability testing and apply research findings to refine and validate design solutions. Contribute to team discussions by questioning assumptions and suggesting improvements, fostering a culture of creativity and quality. Understand product management concepts and terminology to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Maintain awareness of front-end technologies to ensure designs are practical and implementable. Qualifications: 5–8 years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing impactful, user-centered work. Proficiency in modern design tools and familiarity with maintaining and contributing to design systems. Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and deliver high-quality outcomes. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to simplify complex challenges into intuitive solutions. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working across teams. Openness to challenging the status quo and contributing ideas that enhance the user experience and product outcomes. Experience using AI in design workflows or willingness to learn and experiment with such tools. Familiarity with product development processes and basic understanding of front-end technology.
