Position: VMware Senior Network Engineer (L3) - VeloCloud

Location: Hybrid/Remote

VeloCloud, now part of VMware, is a leading provider of cloud-delivered SD-WAN technology that enables enterprises to securely support application growth, network agility, and simplified branch implementations.

Position Overview:

We're seeking an experienced VMware Level 3 Network Engineer to join our team in supporting and troubleshooting complex enterprise SD-WAN deployments. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical escalation point and subject matter expert for our SD-WAN solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex VMware SDWAN network architectures

• Configure and optimize VMware NSX and VeloCloud SDWAN solutions

• Perform advanced network performance analysis and optimization

• Develop and maintain network automation scripts using Python/Ansible

• Conduct thorough root cause analysis for network performance issues

• Create and update network design documentation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network integration

Required Qualifications:

• Hands on expert with VMware NSX and VeloCloud SDWAN

• CCNP/CCIE certification

• 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience

• Expert-level knowledge of VMware SDWAN technologies

• Advanced understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)

• Proficiency in network automation tools

• Strong scripting skills in Python or PowerShell

Technical Skills:

• VMware VeloCloud

• NSX networking

• Cisco networking technologies

• WAN optimization techniques

• Network security protocols

• Virtualization technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• VMware VCAP certification

• Experience with cloud networking architectures

• Kubernetes networking knowledge
