Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AVP - Design to join our dynamic team. As the AVP - Design, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our design department. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the design process from concept to implementation, ensuring the production of visually stunning and user-friendly design solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to foster their growth and development.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to understand design requirements and constraints for various projects.
3. Develop and maintain design standards, ensuring consistency across all digital and print platforms.
4. Create compelling and user-centered designs for a wide range of marketing collaterals, web interfaces, mobile applications, and other digital assets.
5. Conduct research and gather insights to shape and evolve design concepts, keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
6. Produce wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to illustrate design ideas and concepts, considering both aesthetics and user experience.
7. Drive the design process by managing timelines, allocating resources, and assessing design deliverables for quality and accuracy.
8. Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of design projects.
9. Stay informed about emerging design tools, technologies, and methodologies, and propose their integration into the design workflow.
10. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and open communication among team members.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Design Manager, Creative Director, or similar leadership role.
3. Strong understanding of design principles, user-centered design, and current design trends.
4. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, providing effective feedback and mentorship.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
7. Solid project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and ensure on-time delivery.
8. Knowledge of HTML/CSS, responsive design, and mobile app UI/UX principles is a plus.
9. Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
10. A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects and highlighting your creative and strategic thinking.
