Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President - Solutions SME, Service line

• Pre-Sales solutioning, blueprinting and design activities for the procurement services portfolio. Demonstrating Subject Matter Expertise in retail space, creating point of views, transformation ideas, digital led automation, and creation of IP.
• The current position is for an AVP who would be required to create and commercialize procurement solutions for prospects in retail vertical and across geographies. Solutions will carry elements of outsourcing, re-engineering/ consulting, analytics, and technology.
• Procurement is a prioritized horizontal for Genpact. This role is critical to winning and execution of new engagements. Will have a significant impact on growth rates
• Provides an opportunity to be a part of business pursuits and engagements across the deal lifecycle 
• Focus is beyond business as usual – opportunity to engage with the external world, prospects, clients to understand developments, benchmark the standard offerings and adapt Genpact’s approach to create high value add offerings 
• Also work closely with Business Development teams
• Lead Client Partners and Global Relationship Managers
• Vertical Business Leader, Operating Leaders
• Client Organization’s Finance/ Procurement/ Supply Chain leadership
• Solution Architects, Transition Experts

About Genpact: Provides Business Process Management Services to Clients in multiple business sectors including Manufacturing, Banking, Insurance, Pharmaceuticals, Consumer goods & retail, Healthcare, High Tech, Media, publishing, entertainment, and private equity firms. 
About Source to Pay (S2P) and Indirect Sourcing (IS): S2P supports clients in every sector. Indirect Sourcing is part of S2P whose remit is to provide Sourcing services to Client’s who desire to shift from in-house sourcing teams to an external service provider. IS organized by category groupings based on market/spend taxonomy including Professional Services, Labor Services, MRO, Facilities Management, and IT Services. 
 
As part of Genpact’s IS function, this Senior Leader is responsible to lead sourcing execution for categories within Professional Services across multiple Client programs. Activities include developing Client specific Category Management strategy, plan, and execution; Develop and maintain client stakeholder relationships to understand their sourcing needs; Define and develop a sourcing strategy and subsequent supplier negotiation plans; and Manage RFx process for mid-level to strategic events to drive savings for Client and mitigate legal and financial risk on their behalf. 
This role requires working directly with Clients as well as connecting within the broader Indirect Sourcing Category Management and S2P teams. The major interaction will be with the English-speaking customers, in the process of sourcing project planning and execution.
 Good leadership and interpersonal skills – to lead, influence and participate effectively in cross functional teams and ensure delivery of the output
 Great understanding of Retail Industry and specific expertise in Retail Procurement
 Interest and curiosity to explore developments in the market through primary and secondary research
 Good understanding of outcomes and results – identify levers and potential impact
 Ability to bringing in new solutions and ideas
 Excellent communicator, good interpersonal skills, good presentation skills
 Ability to work in an ambiguous, virtual, and multi-cultural environment with limited dependence on guidance and hands on support
 IT savvy – ability to integrate technology to make it a key differentiator in the customer services offerings we provide
 Ability to translate thoughts, ideas, concepts into presentations and written material
 Excellent Project & time management skills - handle multiple deliverables simultaneously
Strong experience in strategic sourcing and driving savings driven outcomes in organizations

Responsibilities
 Ability to manage Solutions that require Sourcing/Category Intelligence and Technology platforms – creating the optimal techno-commercial constructs
 Benchmark solutions with leading Industry Best practices and measurement systems to monitor efficiency of the Solution Teams and effectiveness of responses
 Partner with Business Development teams to identify potential opportunities and support revenue growth
 Refinement of the existing Source to Pay Practice framework – develop best practice repositories for new industry verticals, refinement of existing schemas, benchmarks, insights etc.
 Lead and manage procure to pay solutions
 Drive external breathing programs through white-papers and external partnerships
 Make customer presentations & support solution design process for large deals.
 Solid foundational knowledge of S2P domain
 Experience in leading client engagements at a leadership level


Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
 Postgraduate (MBAs would have an advantage)/Graduate 
 Past experience in leading Retail Procurement operations/processes for large global clients and hence understands operations
 Expertise in creating BAU and transformative solutions for retail clients
 Good understanding of technology landscape within the procurement domain and deep knowledge of at least one platform would be an advantage
 Demonstrated experience in direct engagement with procurement leadership in client organizations 
 Experience in backend BD/Solutioning would be an added advantage
 Flexibility at work – willing to work across time zones and willing to be based out of Genpact Bangalore location

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

1. Strong operations experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Services - Experience of Procurement Technology Platforms is desirable
2. Preparation of comprehensive client proposals – customized solutions
3. Strong client interfacing skills and consulting acumen – Past experience in long cycle Project Management
4. Green Belt / Black Belt in Sourcing & Procurement, SCM functions would be desirable 
5. Must have excellent communication, presentation and analytical (problem solving) skills
6. Comfortable working with virtual teams & uses appropriate communication channels & tools (verbal / written - blog, email, collaboration tools, etc.) to accomplish the tasks assigned
7. Risk Taking, commercially savvy and able to independently deal with uncertainty with a positive attitude
