The Role

We’re looking for a talented engineer to handle front-end development for our native advertising formats. As an experienced member of the team, you’ll work with other engineers to consolidate and optimize our existing format library, from a technical perspective - and work cross-functionally to define, build and launch our next gen products. Critical to the role is the ability to self-manage and work cross-functionally to ensure our product objectives are met. Strong knowledge of responsive layout best practices and a strong attention-to-detail when it comes to translating designs into code are absolute musts.ResponsibilitiesPartner with product management and design to bring industry-leading ad formats to marketWork cross-functionally to develop, estimate and execute our product roadmapUse HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and other front-end technologies to ship concise, bug-free codeImplement responsive designs to ensure our ad formats work across different browsers and devicesConduct routine render checks with your design counterpart to identify ways to optimize our format libraryRegularly participate in innovation sessions to determine our next gen productsQualificationsStrong knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and other front-end technologies2+ years of relevant development experienceExperience with agile software development and working in sprintsComfortable implementing designs prepared in FigmaStrong collaborator, who can defend and challenge ideas constructivelyComfortable self-managing and setting aggressive deadlinesA systems thinker, capable of unifying disparate codeStrong attention to detail and dedication to your engineering craftExperience RequirementSuccess in this role means a deep understanding of the DOM and how to manipulate it. Please apply only if you have spent significant time altering entities in the DOM.Success in this role means deep diving into our vanilla js solutions. Frameworks and libraries like React / Angular / Vue are nice-to-haves, but real success will come from your knowledge of Javascript and ability to code independently of frameworks or libraries.
