About DoCC ( read more here ) :Development of Corporate Citizenship (DoCC) is a novel initiative pioneered by SPJIMR more than 30 years ago, rooted in the belief that ‘Civil society is a learning mechanism’. As a mandatory component of the management curriculum, DoCC fosters in the participants a sensitivity to and a sensibility about various societal issues. DoCC offers participants immersive social internships across India and South Asia to engage with grassroots communities and organisations. This allows the participants to reflect on and apply their management learnings to unstructured environments.An Academic Associate in the DoCC department will have below responsibilities:Academic Role:Course-related - Assist in preparation of course outlines, pre-reads, ppts, and other teaching aid required by the faculty. Also take informal feedback of the courses.Act as a point of contact between faculty and various program office to ensure all deadlines are adhered to regarding submission of course outlines, ordering of pre-reads such as cases, textbooks etc., rollout and submission dates related to assignmentsUploading the course outline and reading material on WISE Net (internal LMS)Examination - Create, Conduct, Evaluate and share scores for quizzes, assignments & exam papers (under guidance from faculty)Assist faculty in resolving issues related to the revaluation requests from the participants regarding quizzes, assignments and end term answer papers.Student query - Handle student queries regarding assignments, end term, committee work, notes, etc.Conducting online tutorialsAttending sessions and workshopsAny ad-hoc academic workAdditionally, the Teaching/ Academic Associate should be flexible in supporting other courses.Administrative Role:Handle classes scheduling for the department faculty (internal & external)Assist in conducting events and conferences of the departmentMaintain attendance recordsCreate virtual links for all sessions and share details via google calendar to faculty and students.Uploading timetable and raising purchase orders on ERPProvide accreditation-related supportAttend department-related meetings and briefingsEducation:Master’s degree in development studies mandatoryPrevious Experience:Up to 2 years of relevant experience would be an advantage.Skills/ Capabilities required:Positive attitude towards learning& open-mindedGood oral and written communicationGood follow-up and people management skillsHave a keen interest in researchData Compilation, Analysis, and PresentationReport Writing SkillsMeeting strict deadlinesExpertise in MS OfficeAbility to do analytics using excel or a statistical software
