
Purchase Assistant

Position Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchase Assistant from Engineering Manufacturing Industry to support the procurement department in sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement processes, knowledge of engineering materials, and a proactive approach to ensuring cost-effective and timely supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Support:
Assist in identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.
Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) in coordination with the procurement manager.
Follow up on supplier quotations and negotiate terms and conditions.
2. Inventory and Order Management:
Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of raw materials and components.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier performance.
Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery.
3. Supplier Relationship Management:
Communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, or quality.
Build and maintain positive relationships with key vendors and service providers.
Conduct supplier evaluations and maintain a preferred vendor list.
4. Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain proper documentation of contracts, POs, invoices, and delivery records.
Assist in preparing procurement reports and analyses for management.
5. Market Research and Cost Optimization:
Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and availability of materials.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
6. Collaboration:
Work closely with the production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to meet factory requirements.
Address material-related issues promptly to avoid production delays.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹540, ₹650,000.00 per year
