Responsibilities:

  • Merchandising & Client Coordination
  • Handle client communications, understand requirements, and ensure timely approvals.
  • Prepare costing, pricing, and order sheets for clients.
  • Source fabrics, trims, and accessories as per buyer specifications.
  • Maintain strong follow-ups with suppliers and buyers.
  • Production Planning & Execution
  • Plan and schedule production to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Supervise cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing departments.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained at each stage.
  • Monitor production output and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Control wastage and improve production efficiency.
  • Team Management
  • Lead supervisors, tailors, and helpers across the unit.
  • Allocate work based on capacity and skill levels.
  • Train team members on quality, speed, and discipline.
  • Reporting & MIS
  • Maintain production status reports and daily progress sheets.
  • Track order completion, dispatch schedules, and client feedback.
  • Coordinate with management for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Graduate / Diploma in Textile Technology, Fashion Designing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in merchandising & garment production management.
  • Strong knowledge of school uniforms / bulk garment production preferred.
  • Good communication skills in English, Tamil, and Hindi (added advantage).
  • Excellent negotiation, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure and ensure on-time delivery.
