The Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (DBT-inStem) is a research institute located in Bengaluru. Our research focuses on the genetic mechanisms of potency, differentiation, and proliferation in human pluripotent cells. We also study the clinical manifestations of diseases that can potentially be treated by stem cells, model human diseases using stem cells, and use model organisms to address fundamental questions in regenerative biology. At DBT-inStem, our research is carried out by groups who work on tightly-knit themes, crossing boundaries and developing new approaches to address larger questions.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Postdoctoral Fellow at DBT-inStem. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for conducting research on molecular and genetic mechanisms, potency, differentiation, and proliferation in human pluripotent cells. Lab also focuses on CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing and mouse developmental genetics. The role will involve data analysis, laboratory skills, and potentially supervising junior staff responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Strong laboratory skills in stem cell and Molecular Biology research
• Experience in conducting research on genetic mechanisms in pluripotent human stem cells
• Mouse handling is desired (not mandatory for job application)
• Data analysis skills for interpreting research outcomes
• Ability to effectively communicate research findings
• Scientific writing skills, original papers and reviews.
• PhD in a relevant field such as stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, or genetics
