Lead Microsoft Application Engineer

Role: Lead, Microsoft Application Engineer We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development Specialist for implementation and continuous improvement of Microsoft Search across our enterprise ecosystem. This role will also play a key part in integrating structured and unstructured data sources and enabling intelligent search experiences through Microsoft Copilot Chat and Copilot Studio. Key responsibilities · Microsoft Search Implementation & Optimization Design, configure, and deploy Microsoft Search across Microsoft (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.) Customize search verticals, result types, and connectors to meet business needs Monitor and improve search relevance, performance, and user experience Data Integration & Knowledge Management Integrate standard (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive) and non-standard (e.g., legacy systems, third-party platforms) data sources Implement Microsoft Graph connectors and APIs for custom data integration Copilot Enablement Collaborate with business and IT teams to design and implement Copilot Chat experiences Develop custom Copilot plugins and scenarios using Microsoft Copilot Studio Governance & Compliance Ensure search and Copilot implementations adhere to Schneider Electric’s data governance, security, and compliance standards Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage data access and privacy Skills and experience Education and experience Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field 5+ years of experience in Microsoft ecosystem, including SharePoint, Teams, and primarily Microsoft Search Must have skills Microsoft & Search Ecosystem Deep understanding of Microsoft Search architecture, schema, and customization Experience configuring search verticals, result types, custom refiners, and bookmarks Proficiency with Microsoft Graph API, Microsoft Search API, and Graph Connectors Proficiency in KQL (Keyword Query Language) for search tuning Experience with search analytics, user behaviour tracking, and relevance tuning Copilot & Power Platform Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Chat and Copilot Studio Ability to design and deploy custom Copilot plugins, Power Automate flows, and Power Apps Familiarity with prompt engineering and semantic search concepts Data Integration & Development Development experience using PowerShell, Node JS or Python Knowledge of AI/ML-based ranking models and natural language processing (NLP) is a plus Good to Have skills.
