Do you want to build connections with leading defence OEMs, work on real proposals, and be part of a team building India’s next-gen defence tech capabilities?We at Thoughtrons, a mil-tech startup incubated at IIT Ropar with our office in New Delhi , are looking for a Business and Strategy Associate to join our growing team.About the RoleWe are looking for a Business & Strategy Associate to work directly with the founders on strategic, operational, and research-driven initiatives. This is a multi-faceted role that blends business development, research, and execution, ideal for someone who enjoys working across diverse functions in a fast-paced start-up environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMarket & Partner Research: Identify and evaluate potential OEMs, vendors, and technology partners relevant to our portfolio.Business Development Support: Reach out to prospective clients, support proposal creation, and assist in follow-ups.GEM Portal Engagement: Scout for relevant bids and tenders, prepare supporting documents, and coordinate submissions.Founder Support: Assist the founding team with daily operational tasks, coordination, and strategic follow-ups.Documentation & Analysis: Prepare clear, concise PowerPoint presentations, reports, and Excel trackers as required.Cross-Functional Projects: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on special initiatives or partnerships.What We’re Looking For1–3 years of experience in business research, strategy, operations, or business development (start-up or consulting exposure preferred).Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) .Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills.Familiarity with GEM portal or government procurement will be an advantage.Keen interest in defence, aerospace, or military technology .Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Location: New DelhiExperience: 1–3 yearsEmployment Type: Full-timeDomain: Defence & Mil-TechCTC: 6-8 LPA
