We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as DevOps Engineer , reporting to the Senior Technology Manager, India, this full-time and permanent position is based in Mumbai, India and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our CLM Program Management department and its’ growth.
Purpose of Role
The Development Operations Technology Specialist is responsible for the overall smooth running and maintenance of the platform.
Scope
Scope of work will be focused mainly on the Entity Management component and associated platform, but there is a requirement to coordinate with other dependent platform components. Therefore, the scope of the role is global with multiple stakeholders across the entire Vistra group.
Key responsibilities:
Day to day maintenance, including software installation, upgrades and initial systems testing.
Ensure Group security standards are maintained in relation to all environment implementations.
Work closely with the infrastructure teams to ensure all system components are running smoothly and efficiently
Promotion of changes, whether configuration or new/changed software installations across the various development and quality assurance testing environments, supporting end users in their testing efforts where necessary.
Working alongside related component owners / suppliers with respect to all application interfaces, both internal and external to Vistra.
Support of external and internal portals linked to platform products, such as Engage
Work with the CLM component owners in relation to any data migrations, both from existing platforms and to support onboarding of new clients or business acquisitions.
Work closely with the CLM platform owners on change prioritisation and sequencing, with practical consideration to benefits, costs, resource constraints, dependencies, technology/business strategy, risk, complexity, governance, architectural integrity and technical fit with other platform changes.
Drive the continuous improvement of the component(s) by reviewing backlog, enhancement requests and upcoming business requirements
Key sign off and approver of all component changes and responsible for coordinating business testing (UAT)
Help standardize development and deployment processes and standardize / consolidate relevant applications where possible.
Act as an escalation point for any technology issues and risks that need to be addressed related to the component
Asist with the production of any technical, service or support documents
Provide the appropriate level of detail and effectively communicate activity, challenges, accomplishments, blockers to all key stakeholders in a timely manner
Participate in budgetary, business planning and project management processes.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with the senior management teams, the broader technology function, and the wider business user community
Undertake any other ad-hoc assignments as directed/necessitated to ensure group success and progress towards the digital transformation strategy.
Key requirements:
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Strong technical and strategic awareness.
Specific knowledge of the Entity Management, DMS, Time Recording, Invoicing/Accounting client service offering, products, operational processes and controls
Knowledge of the various portals that Vistra provide to their clients
Familiar with available technologies relevant to the component(s), ideally ViewPoint, S4/Hana and all associated products
Knowledge of change management controls operating within a multinational and matrixed financial services group.
Demonstrable experience in leadership with an ability to display diplomacy and good judgement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with natural ability to adapt language and communication style to suit the intended recipient
Effective planning and organisational skills to manage competing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain good relationships with all levels of the management and staff
Advanced business analysis skills to understand business needs
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to make meaningful contributions to solution design, to ensure due regard to the business perspective.
Strong technical experience and knowledge
A strong understanding of the clients, services, processes and data associated with the relevant component(s)
Experience with technical/operational improvement projects and initiatives
Familiarity with standard development practice and processes
Experience of working with global technical teams and applications in a services-based organisation
Professional fluency in written and oral English
Background of contributing to project and programme portfolios
Technology industry experience:
Relevant technical specific qualifications and memberships
Educated to degree standard (or qualified by experience)
Project/change management qualifications (e.g. Agile, Prince2)
Operational and business analysis qualifications (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)
