For more information about Joveo’s award-winning platform, visit About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to lead algorithmic improvements and optimization initiatives for our core programmatic advertising products. This is a full-stack data science role where you will own the complete lifecycle from ideation to execution, working closely with product and business stakeholders to drive measurable impact on campaign performance and cost optimization. Key Responsibilities Lead algorithmic improvements for programmatic advertising optimization products Design and develop ML models and optimization algorithms to enhance system performance and decision-making capabilities Develop performance optimization programs - identify bottlenecks, optimize query performance, model inference latency, and system throughput Full-stack ownership: Take ideas from vision to implementation - ideation, modeling, deployment, and execution Work extensively with Snowflake data warehouse - write complex SQL queries, design efficient data pipelines, optimize for scale (20M+ jobs/day) Work on generative AI and agentic AI projects and initiatives Collaborate daily with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders Required Qualifications Education & Experience Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Machine Learning, or equivalent quantitative field 4-6 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer Technical Skills Core Data Science: Strong background in supervised learning, optimization, time series, reinforcement learning. Experience with ensemble methods, neural networks, deep learning. Proficiency in A/B testing, causal inference, experimental design Programming: Expert-level proficiency in Python (preferred) or R. Strong SQL skills (complex queries, optimization, large-scale datasets). Experience with Snowflake (strongly preferred) ML Frameworks: scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, pandas, numpy. Experience with Git and MLOps practices Data Engineering: Experience with Spark/Hadoop, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), ETL/ELT processes, real-time data processing AI/ML: Knowledge of Generative AI and Agentic AI concepts. Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI agent frameworks (preferred).
